We learn how the car drives, its incredible race car lineage, the famous people who owned and drove in it. We find out the influence of World War II technology on the automobile's development: fuel injection, slant engines and lightweight materials and design.

We go for a drive in the exquisite Bavarian countryside and experience what it is like to own one of these famous race cars with one of the world's foremost experts on the 300SL: Hans Kleissl.
