Tomato Sauce for Pizza:    • Quick Tomato Sauce Recipe   It comes in Chrome and metallic red. The unit is 1400 Watts and measures 4.53 H x 12.6 W x 12.3 D. The cord length is 25 inches. The floating lid presses down evenly on whatever you’re grilling. You can grill sandwiches of any thickness with this press. If you’re making an open face sandwich or pizza, the cover can be locked at different heights by turning this knob. The cooking surface is non-stick so don’t use any metal utensils which can scratch the surface. On top of the lid is the red power on light and green preheat light. Put this latch on the handle and store the unit upright to save space.

When you plug in the unit, the red light illuminates. Close the cover and heat for 6 minutes. The green light illuminates when the grill is ready to use. The cover is hot so use an oven mitt. All you do is put your food on the bottom and close the cover. The surface measures 10 inches by 8 inches. You should be able to fit 2 or 3 sandwiches depending on the size of your bread.

This bread is the standard loaf bread in a bag. Butter one side of each piece. Put the buttered side down on a plate. I’m using three slices of cheddar. Thinly sliced tomato and red onion. Other slice of bread with the buttered side on top. Put the sandwich on the grill. Close the cover. It should be done in 2 to 3 minutes.

For the wrap, this is a large burrito wrap. Green bell peppers, red bell peppers, onions, black beans, cheese and cilantro. You can fold it over for a quesadilla or wrap it like this, tucking in the sides.

For the pizza, put the crust on the grill, close and cook for 2 minutes. Then top the crust with sauce, cheese and whatever toppings you want. Bring the cover down and lock the hinge so the cover is above the pizza, not touching it. Cook until the cheese melts, about 2 minutes.

After you’re finished using the unit, unplug and let it cool. To clean, wipe the surface with a paper towel. If there’s a lot of stuff stuck on, it’ll be easier to wipe down when the surface is a little warm. Use a damp sponge with soap to clean and again with a clean cloth. Since the surface is non-stick, don’t use any abrasive sponge or cleaner. The outside can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
