Here are some steps for cutting a pineapple

Cut off the top and bottom: Using a sharp knife, cut off the top green crown and about half an inch of the top of the pineapple. Then, cut off the bottom of the pineapple.

Stand the pineapple upright: Place the pineapple upright on a cutting board.

Cut the pineapple in half: Slice the pineapple straight down the center to create two equal halves.

Remove the core: Cut about half an inch into the flesh at a slight angle to remove the core. The core's fibers run in the opposite direction of the rest of the pineapple.

Cut into slices or chunks: You can cut the pineapple into slices or chunks for different uses:

Slices: Lay the peeled pineapple on its side and cut it into one-fourth to one-half inch slices.

Chunks: Slice each quarter in half lengthwise, then turn it and slice in the other direction
