Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, argued against an article of impeachment that accuses President Donald Trump of abusing his power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rivals. Ratcliffe said the word “demand” does not appear in the White House notes of Trump’s call with Ukraine’s president. The House Judiciary Committee on Dec. 12 considered revisions to the articles of impeachment and voted on whether to send those articles to the full U.S. House of Representatives. Democrats on Tuesday filed two articles of impeachment against Trump -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
