In this video I am testing an occult mage build, with a heavy focus on shadow dmg specifically. Note: I use Trial belt but it´s not needed at all and planned to not use it but realised I didn´t have any belts with occult dmg on them - so bear with me :)

My main dmg dealers are Anomaly for crowd control with Solar Fall for added dmg to put on top of the trapped mobs in Anomaly and Thunderstrike to finish them off if needed and to pick off any strays not caught be Anomaly.

I equipped a Pistol to go with my Catalyst as that allows me to drop Turrets that can be used to burn off excess Rage to get Willpower. I also went with 2x Livor Mortis as they provide 30% dmg reduction in total and do good support dmg as well.

Besides the major nodes such as Branded Burst for further dmg reduction. I went for Waltzing Smoke that gives me invisibility for 5s in case I need to get out of danger and also give 30% additional shadow dmg when I use a dodge. I also went for Occult Affliction that increases dmg dealt to enemies with cursed ailments on them and a couple nodes that increases the chance to apply ailments. Besides that both these trees in Gates of Fate have many small nodes that buff shadow & occult dmg which is an extra bonus.

Last but not least I also picked Undertaker as that adds 30% of the shadow dmg I do as toxic dmg on top of the shadow dmg my spells already do whenever killed mobs drop green gloves. For the same reason I picked Increased Awareness to increase my pickup range for those globes.
