1 in 5 homes for sale in Utah cost at least $1 million

A recent report shows the share of homes in the United States that are worth $1 million or more is nearing an all-time high.

According to real estate company Redfin, just over eight percent of houses across the country have now hit that seven-figure mark. The company says the share of million-dollar homes has doubled since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Utah, those numbers are much higher. Redfin estimates the share of million-dollar houses in the Salt Lake City market is roughly one in three, or 33 percent.
