Directed by Robert Isidor Schwobthaler, German filmmaker who gained permission from king Constantine I of Greece to go to the frontlines, This is an early instance of war documentation.
It covers the second Balkan war, Where Bulgaria - unsatisfied with their gains in the first one - Attacked their former allies Greece and Serbia barely a month after the end of the last war but were pushed back and decisively defeated within a month.
This feature length documentary showcases the armies marching, engaging in combat, receiving artillery strikes, ruined infrastructure, scenes of atrocities, graphic footage of victims, hospitals full of wounded soldiers and peace festivities.
