the jacket story + fanservice

Dan talks about how he borrowed Phil's coat while going to pick up his denim jacket from his mum.

Transcript: “And then, okay, here we— Are you ready for this? Don’t say I never tweet you. Do you guys right now want some fanservice? Do you want me to just give the people what they want? […] Okay, you’re now— you’re not ready for this. You’re not ready for this. Are you ready? You’re gonna— you’re just gonna— you’re gonna die. You’re not ready for this. Okay. This— this is gonna be insane. You’re not ready for this. So. We were out having lunch with our friend Laura. And then I had to go meet up with my mum, who was in town because I left my denim jacket at her house over Christmas, boring. And I went outside in just this [indicates his jumper], and this is really cold, right? ‘Cause when— when the wind blows it went out. And it’s been, like, really warm recently in London, but I went out and it was like freezing and I had to walk like twenty minutes to go and meet my mum, so you know what I did while Phil was going home and I was going for a walk? I asked Phil if I could borrow his coat. And I did. Holy shit. So for twenty minutes today, I was wearing Phil’s coat. That— that— I mean, don’t say I never do anything for you, okay? Don’t say… don’t say I don’t give the trashcans what they want. Don’t say I’m too busy acknowledging what the casual viewers and the calm people that don’t like all the crazy people, that are leaving comments on my videos saying, ‘Dan this doesn’t represent me, I’m a normal person, I really don’t like watching all these danisnotonfire videos where you’re crying all the time, I feel like it’s too intense, we’re not all like that.’ Erm. You know. So— so there you go. I mean honestly, is there anything—— Erm… Johnny: ‘I borrow my brother’s coat all the time. Why is that even interesting?’ I mean, look at the chat right now, Johnny. Clearly you’re— you’ve just not got the right hat on. To some people, this is the— the— the best thing they’ve heard in their entire life. Maybe you should reassess you brothe— borrowing your brother’s coat. Maybe it’s an extreme…thing. That you haven’t c-contemplated before.”
