There are probably better ways to do this than what I did, but here is how I fit an ESU Loksound V5 micro sound decoder into a Kato Mikado.
I read that this locomotive is particularly difficult to do, but the worst part for me was figuring out where to run the wires. The fly wheel is right smack where I wanted the wires to come out! I probably made it more difficult than it had to be, but live and learn.
