Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking together at our Gen-Y Viking Square Gooseneck Coupler for a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, rated at 30,000 pounds gross towing weight, or 8,500 pounds of tongue weight. So, folks, this nice, sturdy square inner tube will pair with an existing outer tube that's square on your gooseneck coupler, and it's gonna be great for hooking your trailer up to your truck. Now, as you can see, they give you standard adjustment holes here. That should accommodate most outer tubes that have pins in different positions. Now, it is a self-latching coupler as well.

So, once you've got this opened up, and you basically just drop it straight on the ball and it'll automatically latch down in place. Now, I don't have a ball here today to show you and it's not off off the ground, otherwise I could get in there and show you, but basically, this can also lock out whenever you're taking it off the ball, so, I'll go ahead and lock it out. And then again, once you had it back on the ball, basically, when you get that ball up in place, it'll literally pop on like that. They do give you a nice hand tool to reach around the frame of the truck and be able to reach that a lot better. Now, as you can see, they give you a nice, elegant hammered finish.

That's gonna give you superior resistance to corrosion, rust, those kinda things, and again, that's that spring lever I was just showing you as well that can turn and automatically kinda spring back in place. Now, the square tube is a four inch by four inch square tube. And as far as some quick dimensions, from the base to the first center of the first lowest hole, I got 9 7/8, from the base to the center of the second hole where the pin is, I got 12 1/2 inches, and from the base up to the center of the tallest hole, I got 15 1/4 inches on center. Overall, from the top to the base on this side, the thickest part, I got 25 1/2 inches, roughly. I dunno if you can see too well, but basically everything is powder coated, but from here down, that's where they really give that extra hammered finish and everything.

Again, the pin, you have a pin and clip here, they have a special clip that they use. It just has a different kinda curve on it for you to get on and off, but it does go back on this pin, and the nice thing with it is that it's a little tougher to get on. Kinda gotta pull this up and push it while it's on the product, but that does make it a lot better as far as it's harder to get on so you don't have to worry about it coming off like some of the old-style ones.
