Victoria is set to see fresh faces on its frontbench from both the ruling and opposition parties when parliament reconvenes on Tuesday.

The reshuffle follows the rise of Jacinta Allan to the position of premier.

Ms Allan, who became Victoria's 49th premier, was officially sworn in last Wednesday.

While Ms Allan has made subtle adjustments to the government's machinery and departments, the Opposition isn't far behind in changes.

The Opposition Leader has reintroduced Matthew Guy into the shadow cabinet, signalling a move "back to the future".
