Brian Wilson and Harmonic Ideas for the Beach Boys

It must have been great to be Brian Wilson in the mid-1960s when he was feeling creative. You get the sense that he could just sit down at the piano at any time and rip off something great. Here, I show how relying on one simple harmonic pattern in the right hand can yield all kind of distinct song ideas, just by varying the left hand and the way the bass notes interact with the right hand pattern. Maybe a window into Brian's process!
