BMW F82 M4 Engine Oil Cooler Upgrade DIY (2015-2021 BMW F80 M3, F83 M4, F87 M2)

►Turbocharged engines, like the S55 found in a handful of BMW cars, produce lots of heat, which, in turn, stresses everything within the engine. Keeping everything cool is the key to health and longevity, and there's arguably nothing more important to stay cool than the engine oil. The S55 uses a good-sized oil cooler to help expel the heat, but it's easily overmatched with consistent hard driving, and its proximity to the ground makes it an easily damaged piece. If you're looking to replace your oil cooler, for whatever reason, it makes sense to go with a more robust unit.

CSF is a leader in cooling and has developed a drop-in upgrade for the F8X platform. Utilizing an all-aluminum construction, the upgraded oil cooler was made with CSF AC condenser technology in mind. BMW's factory location is the cause for that, but the change in design was no problem for the aftermarket experts, as the cooler sports a one-row 32mm ten-channel microtube for optimal oil flow and maximum cooling surface area. Add in the built-in rock guard that fits with all of the factory ducting in place, and it's tough to beat what this upgrade offers.
