Diwali story in Hindi
Diwali short film
Diwali is not just a festival of lights and sweets — it’s a time when the flow of energy in our home and surroundings becomes highly active. According to Indian scriptures, Goddess Lakshmi blesses homes with wealth, prosperity, and happiness on this auspicious day. However, ancient traditions also warn that buying or bringing certain items into the home on Diwali can block the flow of wealth and reduce divine blessings.
Items made of iron or steel are linked to the planet Saturn (Shani) and can absorb positive energy, so they should not be purchased. Similarly, brooms, which represent Lakshmi’s energy, should not be bought on Diwali night, as their use can disturb her arrival. Avoid buying milk, curd, oil, or sesame products after sunset due to their unstable energy at that time.
Wearing black or dark clothes, keeping broken utensils, fake jewelry, glass items, or sharp objects like scissors and needles is considered inauspicious. Such objects attract stagnant or “cutting” energy that hinders prosperity.
To welcome Lakshmi, one must keep the home clean, pure, and well-lit, lighting at least 11 diyas (lamps) to spread light, awareness, and positive energy.
Ultimately, Diwali teaches that true prosperity comes from inner purity, righteous actions, and a harmonious home environment. Avoiding negative objects and maintaining a sattvic, positive atmosphere invites lasting peace and wealth into one’s life.
