It's the Raw after Summerslam 1999 and Triple H is not happy. The Game felt like he was robbed at the pay per view; he had Steve Austin and Mankind beat but Jesse Ventura refused to count the pinfall. Helmsley decides to take matters into his own hands to get what he wants, and Raw gets headlined with a WWF Championship match featuring Triple H and Mick Foley.

On Nitro the promised Hulk Hogan vs Sting main event takes place for the World Championship. An infamous locker room meeting took place before Nitro went on the air which resulted in Raven walking out of the company, and to add to Eric Bischoff's woes his plan to pop a rating with a KISS live performance backfires when viewers switch the channel.
