Today at Wildlife Aid we admitted an amazing little mole that was found out in the open, above ground, which is very unusual for moles.

It turns out that the mole was actually quite young (around a third of the size of a fully grown adult) and was at the stage of its life where it was leaving its mother and going off looking for somewhere new to live by itself.

So, with no apparent injuries or lack of health (its coat, as you can see, is very glossy and soft), we quickly returned it back to where the member of the public found it.
