Kodanad View point is a tourist spot near Kotagiri town, Nilgiri District, Tamil Nadu state, South India. Nilgiris is one of the oldest mountain ranges, located at the tri-junction of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. Nilgiris is a part of the Western Ghats. Kodanad View Point is located 18 km from Kotagiri. A good drive from ooty goes through the green carpet of Tea estates and the valley on the other side with settlements. Kodanad Tea Estates are the main attraction en route to Kodanad View Point. From the View Point you can see the green carpeted paddy fields of Thengumarahada village. One can also see Bhavanisagar Dam and Rangaswamy Peak from the watch tower located here. Bhavanisagar Dam is constructed on the Bhavani river.
