How to Make a Swing Chair Canopy | The Carpenter's Daughter

This week is a one-off sewing project as we recently bought some garden furniture, but needed to replace the canopy.

It cost me £7.50 to make as I had everything else in. However, to buy one ready made can cost from £26 (not bad at all), but I couldn't find one to fit ours.

I also used my favourite fabric again: ripstop. It's waterproof, anti-fray and anti-rip, which means it technically doesn't need hemming. But in my case, I felt it was a must as I'd ordered one a bit too light.
So if I were to order again, I'd make sure it's a minimum 110gsm. (The one featured is 60gsm).

Ripstop is also used to make hot air balloons, outerwear and so much more.
