Crane Flat Campground | Yosemite National Park | Site by Site Exploration

Crane Flat Campground is one of several large campgrounds inside Yosemite National Park.

We did not spend the night (we were over at Hodgdon Meadow), but our drive thru gave us a very good impression of this campground.

If you read the description in the Hodgdon Meadow Campground Drive Thru, you know that I was extremely critical of that campground.

To show you I'm a a fair guy, when I see something good, I'll tell you. And that is what this campground was. A very well manicured, well thought out layout. As far as our experience with National Park Campgrounds goes, this campground has many sites that appear very well spread out and private.

We read that this campground underwent a renovation over the past few years, and it shows.

Makes you wonder why other parks (Bryce Canyon, I'm looking at you) do not take the time to improve their campgrounds and create level, tiered off campsites like they have at Crane Flat.

Seems like a delightful place to camp, although there are of course a spot or two that are too close for our comfort, but that's what this video is for, right?

Perhaps one day we will get to camp at this one, and it will redeem camping at Yosemite for us.

CHOOSE THIS CAMPGROUND OVER HODGDON MEADOW WITHOUT QUESTION IF YOU CAN!!!!!
