Making friends as an adult is hard—especially in your 30s, as a parent, or after moving to a new town. In this solo episode, I’m sharing exactly how I made real connections after relocating to the suburbs, from school drop-offs to tennis clinics and everything in between.

Even before I moved to the suburbs, I knew how important finding connections and new friendships was going to be. Not gonna lie, making new friends in your 30s requires you to expend a lot of external energy, and for the first couple of months of getting settled in the suburbs as a family, my social battery was drained. I was saying yes to a lot of things and spending a lot of time and energy making connections and getting to know people. After a little while, though, I finally settled into the groove of being in a new town and was able to slow things down a bit.

In this episode, I’m sharing exactly how I made friends as a mom in a brand-new community—no vague advice here, just real stories of neighborhood meet-cutes, school drop-off introductions, tennis clinics, and even a few double dates that didn’t go as planned 😅. I’ll walk you through the mindset shifts that helped me find meaningful connections, what it’s really like trying to make adult friendships while parenting young kids, and how I built a network I genuinely enjoy being part of.
