Dame Shirley Bassey Archive 2021: Stockholm 1967 Bern's Restaurant HD 1080p

In 1967 Dame Shirley Bassey returned to Stockholm to appear at Bern's restaurant, travelling with daughter Sharon. DSB had just appeared on Sunday Night at the London Palladium and wore the cutaway dress US TV was too scared to allow her to wear. Telling the press before flying out that she had a new one for the Swedes, the same cut but see-through, the images in this edition show her wearing the Palladium dress to great effect.The yellow coat makes an appearance here also.
Great reviews if you can read the Swedish, and back to London with Alyn Ainsworth, her musical director at the time. The song I have used for this edition is The Impossible Dream which DSB released just weeks before this season.

I have been collecting Dame Shirley for over 50 years and have digitised my entire collection by date from newspapers, magazines, photos, programs, sheet music and of course the music.
I hope this series of videos will help tell Dame Shirley's story in a lineal way for fans new and old.
As a child whenever I found a photo of Dame Shirley I would wonder what the story behind the picture was, and I still do.
I would cut out news clippings and put together multiple scrapbooks,
then the internet came along and an explosion of knowledge. Now I know some of the stories behind many of the photos and hope you get enjoyment in finding these stories too.

If you have a newspaper clipping, review or any other item that would expand the story please let me know. Dating items is a tricky process but I have tried as best I can to get the timeline correct.
