Theme 1: Footstreet hours

As part of the City Centre Access consultation, one of the themes is around footstreet hours.

Some Blue Badge Holders told us: most city centre evening and cultural events start before 8pm, meaning Blue Badge holders cannot park centrally to attend them.

Business interest groups told us: the 5pm finish discourages the evening economy, presenting a visual sign to people, including residents leaving work, that the city is closed.

General feedback: there is strong support for outdoor eating and café culture in the early evening period.

Key question: we are considering making the permanent footstreet hours run until 7pm in the evening, do you agree or disagree?

Key question: if the footstreets finished later in the evening, do you agree they should start later on weekdays to allow Blue badge parking?
