Community integration is widely considered to be the ultimate goal of rehabilitation, particularly for those with acquired brain injury (ABI). This presentation summarises the findings of a doctoral study that explored the experiences of people with ABI as they began to re-integrate into their communities, following in-patient rehabilitation. Clinical implications of the research findings and how these could be incorporated into service delivery will be discussed.
