Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only use the three Kanto Starters
3. Nickname Pokémon

Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's ace (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on manual "Set" battle mode

Showdown Ruleset:
7. A Pokémon is awarded TWO points for every knock out in a major battle (Gym Leaders, Rival, Evil Team Leader, E4, Champion).
8. A Pokémon is awarded ONE point for every assist in a major battle (an assist is defined as getting an attack off on the enemy Pokémon or being on the field when prior residual damage gets a KO).
