Learn and sing kirtan (sacred singing) in the designated raag (melody). The first part of this video has vocals and music and the second part has only instrumental music without vocals so you can sing after learning.
There are 31 raags, each sung separately in a male voice, and a female voice. Each video includes first the full shabad (vocals, dilruba, harmonium and tabla) then the shabad without vocals (instrumental only). Both parts show the lyrics of the shabad in English, in Gurmukhi script, and in a transliterated form, so English-speakers can learn to pronounce the Punjabi words. 
The English translation is humbly presented as a conceptual, not a literal, translation of the original Gurmukhi text. It was made to help convey the essence of the original lyrics from Gurmukhi. 
In the second part of each video you can hear the music without the vocals. The lyrics can help you memorize and practice on your own and soon you’ll be singing Kirtan with confidence!
