Evolution of The Plow (1997-2016)

Описание к видео Evolution of The Plow (1997-2016)

After a small break, the next vehicle to be covered in this series is The Plow, it was requested by CzechDeath, a modified earth mover with a deadly plow attached to the front before converting to 6 wheels in C2 and reverting back to its original design in the later games.

The Plow in C1 can hit really hard and is incredibly bulky, however it has a tendency to pull off wheelies whilst accelerating making it rather annoying to use. This makes it the most inferior Tier 3 vehicle and unfortunately the only Tier 3 vehicle that is Stealworthy (from Rank 21). Stick with Caddy Fat Cat or Tow Meister if you have managed to unlock those or try and unlock Suppressor (from Rank 9).

Fortunately in Splat Pack, it no longer does wheelies from launch and it is bigger by about 30% according to CzechDeath, making it a good vehicle. However another Tier 3 vehicle that is Stealworthy which is Rig O'Mortis is far better in every aspect, heavier, hits harder and not that much slower than The Plow. Only use The Plow if you somehow unlock that but not Rig O'Mortis.

The Plow Mk2 has redeemed itself in C2 and is a fantastic vehicle for the later stages, Same as its predecessor, hits hard and incredibly bulky, even with half the APO upgrades, its capable for wrecking even Tier 3 vehicles such as Loggerhead. Out of other great Tier 3 vehicles such as Semi Mk2 and Abba Cab, The Plow mk.2 is the cheapest and heaviest (at 10 tons) of those 3 at exactly 1 million credits. The Plow Mk2 in the Beta had the words "Gotcha Again" written in red, this was changed to black in the initial release. Driving an opponent into something solid is a great tactic, but do be careful not to drive yourself into a solid object as this damages the vehicle or wreck yourself in rare cases.

The Plow in Reincarnation is a very weak vehicle overall and due to the power-up nature of this game, it is fairly easy to wreck with mortars and repulsificators and it is very sluggish making it an easy target for the opposition. The best strategy is to drive the opposition into a solid object and utilize it's 4.2 strength rating, however this tactic is very predictable and The Plow's offense is mostly lackluster (slightly less predictable in multiplayer due to the opposition being able to use Pelvic Thrusts) and is in a very low tier in mp only being better than Tashita, Tropi-Kill and The Bear.

In Max Damage, The Plow has received buffs in armor and acceleration (due to The Plow not being able to make it back on the main platform of Landing Pads without Turbo or Pelvic Thrust power-ups), making it more viable in both single and multi-player. Now it can withstand punishment a lot better especially from power-ups, and can surprisingly reach 0-60 times similar to De'Gory Un and Volkswerker. In multiplayer however, it is still a low tier vehicle, it struggles in Death Race, Checkpoint Stampede and Fox N'Hounds against the faster vehicles despite the buffs and is heavily reliant on stealing in order to win. In Car Crusher, it's still predictable, easy to play around and its offense is still very bad.
