Namo Bharat Trains Now In Delhi | Will RRTS Incentivize Train Travel? | NewsX

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an additional 13-kilometre stretch of the Namo Bharat RRTS Corridor between Sahibabad in Ghaziabad and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi. With this expansion, the operational length of the corridor now covers 55 kilometres, connecting 11 stations. The Prime Minister traveled aboard the Namo Bharat Train from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar and interacted with school children on the train. The project, designed to reduce carbon emissions and enhance public transportation, promises faster travel times, with the Meerut South to New Ashok Nagar route now taking under 40 minutes. Passengers can access train schedules and parking information through the official website. Will this development encourage a shift from car usage to train transport?
