The transient response in this example is a ramp response of a PD Controller (Proportional Derivative Controller). From this response, we will determine the parameters of the system using a model. Step by step, we will carry out the calculations. Using simulations in MATLAB, we will check our calculations and thereby verify that the transfer function of the system is correct.
