Natural Light Photoshoot... Today's Guest: Angela Halili

For this new episode of my Natural light Photoshoot series, I wanted to take you on a walk through the streets of Ventura with me while searching for different backgrounds in different lighting situations. I took my trusty Tokina 50mm 1.4 on my Canon R6 body along with me and this adventure.

It was so great to work with model/actress Angela Halili on this shoot! There was such high energy between us, which allowed for a very fun and exciting shoot. During a facetime call, we put her looks together. I wanted pops of color! So the pieces she didn't own, she went in search of. For example, the beige jacket from her first look. That's a lovely Duchesse Bomber Jacket: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/stine-goy.... The bright orange and pastel blue were perfect for what I had in mind for these images.

The shots by the bus stop were a last-minute decision. As we walked towards the location I was hoping to use, I was intrigued by the lighting at the bus stop and thought the words and textures would look really cool for that outfit. So I asked to get a few shots there first. And they are some of my favorites from this shoot! As we were walking out, the bus came, so I quickly asked her to walk alongside it. I wanted to use all of the shots taken in those few seconds! Love her expression, love her outfit, love the whole story behind that one shot!

The 3rd outfit, with the black denim jacket, was another fun one and I am so happy to have found those bright colors at an alley as we walked around downtown Ventura. Exactly what I needed!

Another note on being on-camera. I hate it, you guys! It's really hard for me to remember to pause my train of thought while I'm in the middle of shooting to explain what it is I am doing. But know that I am trying! Please share what you'd like to see more in these videos so that I can work on better content for you.
