Did DC Comics have a Stronger Comic-Con than Marvel? SDCC News Round Up!

A weekly show highlighting my love of comics. The books themselves! I don't feel like there are enough places to celebrate Comic Books on a weekly basis. So I want to do just that, right here!

We just wrapped San Diego Comic Con 2024 and as ever there was SO MUCH NEWS. But in so many ways I feel like DC Comics was the (sleeper?) winner of SDCC between The Penguin buzz, their insane slate of projects every month this year AND most of all how huge the buzz was around their Logo change/new intro and Merch it’s seems pretty great in Metropolis about now.

But Marvel certainly wasnt quiet between the TWO HALL H panels one a Deadpool Celebration of Life (With Ryan Reynolds Hugh Jackman Shawn Levy Wesley Snipes Channing Tatum Daphne Keen Jennifer Garner and Emma Corrin and Chris Evans watching the entire film with 6,000 of us) and the traditional Saturday Hall H panel detailing Captain America Brave New World (Harrison Ford Red Hulk Out), Fantastic Four First Steps (Galactus! The Cast! Previz!) and Thunderbolts (Winter Soldier Congressman, David Harbour in costume) PLUS the huge announcement of Robert Downey Jr as DOCTOR DOOM and the return of the Russos for not just Avengers Secret War but Doomsday as well! SO MUCH

Plus Hellboy the Crooked Man, and Vaught International.
Plus a bevy of comic book news

I break down my TOP 9 Comics from this past week! Then update you on the biggest news in comics and finally preview what’s to come this current week in comic books!

So many studios and channels and conventions and people have made a name for themselves off of adapting comics, and I love that. But I also love these weekly adventures in a medium I adore. So its time to celebrate them.
