Chapter 9: Dead Meat

The order came through only a few days after the fall of Gundabad, we are to ready our horses grab our javelins and lances - and not much else. The messenger spoke of 'riding quickly' and 'packing lightly' ... but I could tell from the look in his eyes... We are dead meat.

Our regiment is of the Eotheod, the finest horsemen in all of Middle-Earth, but our strength lies on the open battlefield - not besieging a mountain hold.

Never the less, good soldiers follow orders - and if we are to trample the very mountain under our hooves, just point us in the right direction.
