Aeris Aviation are the UK’s distributor of the Eclipse 550, the world’s most technologically advanced light jet.

With the ability to fly at altitudes up to 41,000 feet at a max cruise of 430 mph, all while consuming a less than 200 litres (400 lbs) of fuel per hour, the Eclipse 550 is the most efficient twin-engine jet on the planet. When you add to that safety features such as Auto Throttles, Anti-Skid Brakes, Synthetic Vision, and Enhanced Vision, you begin to understand that the Eclipse 550 is the Formula One car of the General Aviation world.

Aeris Aviation commissioned Take One Productions to produce a multi-purpose sales video that could be used to promote the jet online, in presentations, in meetings and at exhibitions and events. The video needed to not only capture the beautifully elegant design features of the Eclipse 550, but also showcase the incredible technology available on the jet.

The Take One crew set about capturing exterior footage of the jet while it was grounded at Blackbushe Airport in Surrey, before taking off with Aeris Aviation Chairman and lead singer of Iron Maiden Captain Bruce Dickinson.

Filming at 41,000 feet is both exhilarating and challenging. Using a total of three cameras (one locked off in the cockpit and two manned cameras in the rear of the jet) the Take One crew successfully captured Captain Dickinson and Aeris CEO David Hayman demonstrating the Eclipse 550 in flight.

Shown on the Aeris Aviation stand at Aero, the global show for aviation held in Friedrichshafen in Germany, the video has been hugely successful and further production is already scheduled with Take One Productions.
