Poultry science, innovations, and future perspectives

The 20th EAAP Webinar titled Poultry science, innovations, and future perspectives is organized in collaboration with the EAAP Poultry Working Group. The webinar is organized to address innovations and future perspectives related to the poultry industry, including the challenges and solutions to consumer demand for sustainability and animal welfare.

The first presentation will be given by Michèle Tixier-Boichard from “INRAE” (France) and president of WPSA on The challenges for poultry breeding raised by the different dimensions of sustainability. Yuval Cinnamon from “ARO” (Israel) will give his talk Towards a Humane and Sustainable Solution: A Genetic Model to Eliminate Male Chicks Culling in the Egg Industry. The last speaker will be Werner Bessei from “The University of Hohenheim” who will inform the audience on Animal behaviour and welfare in the last few years with perspectives on the future.
