Sri Guruvayurappan Temple is located just on the Sriperumbudur to Thiruvallur Main Road in a place called Nemili. The actual location where the Temple is located is known as Kshetropasna and is manned by 24 X 7 security. The Temple is built facing East. On entering the Temple there is a multi pillared Mandapam in which a Bali Peedam and a Dwajasthambam are kept facing the Moolasthanam. In fact the Dwajasthambam is located in such a manner that it pierces the roof of the multi pillared Mandapam and protrudes skywards. The roof of the Moolasthanam in particular and other places in general resembles the Kerala type roofing. The Sanctum Sanctorum is slightly elevated with a pair of Yaalis on either side. At the threshold of the Moolasthanam is a pair of black Dwara Baalakas. The Presiding Deity in the Moolasthanam is Sri Guruvayurappan who is an incarnation of Maha Vishnu. He is found East facing and in a standing posture to Bless His Devotees. The inner peripheral of the Temple has been laid with black staone and there are multiple grey pillars etched with various designs. There is a facility for observing Homam here. In the inner peripheral there are two Sub Shrines and both of them are East facing. In the first Sub Shrine there is a Ganapathy Idol and in the second Sub Shrine an Idol of Goddess Mookambikai is seen. There is a Temple Kitchen or Madapalli functioning here and the Temple premises is kept meticulously clean. The Temple has a steel Thulabaaram for the sake of Devotees. On the outer peripheral there is a Temple Office and beyond it is a huge multi pillared Mandapam with a stage. Divine functions, Dance programmes etc could be conducted here. There is an exit at the rear of the Temple on the Western side. Two stone lamps placed on top of a Turtle's back is found at the entrance and the exit too. The Temple has an exclusive Temple Garden or Nandavanam. It has lush green grass all around with benches at regular intervals so that the elders could sit for a while and relax. The Temple has facilities for CCTV cameras and is manned round the clock by security guards. The Temple was founded by Pujyasri Prema Pandurang and is currently run by Sripadham Kshetropasna Trust. Next to the Temple is their Annakshethra or Annadhana Koodam. The Temple has a Ghoshala and the cattles here are very well looked after. There is an Ayurvedic Hospital closeby which is run for the poor and needy by the Temple. Above all the Temple runs the Vedha Paadasaala with Dozens of deserving students studying in it.
