シチズンは、チタニウムを外装に用いた時計の発売55周年を記念し、イベントを開催。WOWは、シチズンが独自開発した素材「Super Titanium™」の軽やかさ、強さ、美しさを表現するコンセプトムービーとインスタレーションを手がけた。

インスタレーション作品では、時計の表面処理開発に用いられる9色の実験用チタニウムプレート1039枚を格子状に並べ、9台のローテーブルを制作。プレートの配置は、200インチの大型LEDディスプレイに映し出されるコンセプトムービーの世界とシームレスにつながるよう、映像制作時に使用した3Dツールを用いて綿密に設計した。映像の光がプレートに反射することで表情は絶え間なく移ろい、時計・映像・音が一体となる空間をつくりあげた。

About the Work
Citizen held an event to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the launch of Citizen watches with titanium exteriors, and WOW was involved in the creation of a concept movie and art installation to express the lightness, strength, and beauty of Citizen's proprietary material, Super Titanium™.

For the art installation, 1039 titanium plates in nine different colors, used in experiments for the development of surface treatment for watches, were arranged in a grid pattern to create 9 low tables. The arrangement of the plates was meticulously designed using 3D tools used in image production so that they would seamlessly link with the world of the concept movie, which was projected onto a large 200-inch LED display. The light from the images reflects off the plates, creating a space where watches, images, and sound become one.
