Planet Wisp Act 2 Remix - Sonic Colors (SEGA Genesis Style)

Happy Earth Day, everyone! In honor of the day of our planet, today, we ourselves a Classic Sonic-styled remix of Planet Wisp Act 2 from Sonic Colors!

While I have already posted a few remixes that try to replicate the classic sound of Sonic's Genesis era with songs from the Modern era, this was actually one of the first I created back around November 2023. I began this "challenge" of sorts with various songs from Sonic Colors, so expect to see the rest of them in the coming months.

Driven by S3&K's instrumentation, my goal with this track in particular was to invoke a feeling of "musical story-telling," namely with the theme of "nature vs. technology" present throughout Planet Wisp.

The part around 1:02 especially comes to mind as I wanted the lighter, cheerier sounding notes to contrast with the harsher, more metallic notes that follow, and I think it really adds to the overall feel of the final product.
