Part 4 of "Starting in the middle" Thames Walk. A warm and muggy day, but once again this beautiful river provided lovely sights and sounds. The fabulous Beetle & Wedge pub sits right beside the river and makes for a glorious pause. Verdant banks provide havens for a wealth of wildlife, whilst river boats and paddle boarders drift sedately by. The town of Wallingford was historic and pretty. At time of posting there is a diversion that will take you off the Thames and require some tarmac walking.
