This intense drama tells the true story of Sara Guralnick, a 13-year-old Polish Jewish girl whose family was killed by
Nazis in 1942. Escaping to the Ukrainian countryside, Sara passes herself of as an Orthodox Christian and hides in
plain sight in the Ukrainian countryside, where she is taken in by a farmer and his young wife. She soon discovers the
dark secrets of her employers' marriage, compounding the greatest secret she must strive to protect, her true
identity. This suspenseful exploration of one girl’s harrowing journey through one of the darkest chapters in history is
at once haunting, riveting, and inspiring.
