|| ROUND Function in Excel ||

The ROUND function in Excel calculates the round number of a given number with the number of digits provided as an argument. This formula accepts two arguments: the number itself and the number of digits we want the number to be rounded up to.

Syntax
--------------------------------------------
=ROUND(number, num_digits)
Arguments in ROUND Function:
--------------------------------------------
Number – The number that we wish to round.
Num Digits – The total number of digits to round the number to.

We can use the ROUND function in Excel for rounding to the right or left of the decimal point. If num_digits is greater than 0, the number will be rounded to the specified decimal places to the right of the decimal point. For example =ROUND (16.55, 1) will round 16.55 to 16.6.



|| ROUNDUP Function in Excel ||

Round a number up by using the ROUNDUP function. It works just the same as ROUND, except that it always rounds a number up. For example, if you want to round 3.2 up to zero decimal places: =ROUNDUP(3.2,0) which equals 4.
Syntax
--------------------------------------------
=ROUNDUP(number, num_digits)
Arguments in ROUNDUP Function:
--------------------------------------------
Number – The number that we wish to roundup.
Num Digits – The total number of digits to roundup the number to.


|| ROUNDDOWN Function in Excel ||

ROUNDDOWN behaves like ROUND, except that it always rounds a number down. If num_digits is greater than 0 (zero), then number is rounded down to the specified number of decimal places. If num_digits is 0, then number is rounded down to the nearest integer.
Syntax
--------------------------------------------
=ROUNDDOWN(number, num_digits)
Arguments in ROUNDDOWN Function:
--------------------------------------------
Number – The number that we wish to rounddown.
Num Digits – The total number of digits to rounddown the number to.
