12+ hours of pain. I will never do anything as impressive as this ever again, what a waste of my time! Tips below

Tips: (Timestamps included for examples)
The running slash move is one of his most easy to punish delayed attacks, simply roll in the same direction as him and slash after (looks cool a.f. too) 2:05
That running slash is sometimes followed by a very awkward delayed swipe which seems to have some timing variation that's utterly unpredictable. Rolling into his body tends to be pretty reliable at dodging the variations. 2:09
His helicopter attack comes out after two specific attacks. a) The overhead slam (on its own, not after the sideways swipe) 0:20 b) After the somersault then dash attack (if close). It's very nicely punishable as long as you recognize those two attacks. Simply run/dodge away then dodge back in on the final overhead slam for easy two hits
The somersault dash has three follow ups. a) The aforementioned helicopter b) Spear throw 0:30 c) Jump slam. Staying at midrange very frequently triggers the spear throw which is free damage. Just run up next to him and he can't hit you as long as you're touching him. Free two hits.
After a spear attack, run around him as fast as possible. He will sometimes follow this attack with the swipe then delayed hammer combo which the camera makes almost impossible to handle at close range. Running around him breaks his AI and he will just turn in place trying to hit you. As long as you can running around you can get two free attacks in without him doing the attack until he eventually gives up
He has a slow overhead attack he can pull out in several places. Dodging to the side of him is a free hit. It's very important to recognize if you end up in front of him, because if you do he follows up with 2 very fast unreactable knife throws.
Ending up behind him in many situations triggers a tail swipe which is fairly easy to dodge with (to the right) for a follow up 0:12
Attacking in neutral is safer than you might think. As long as it's quickly after the end of a move it's safe to do because his openers are quite slow, but the timing on how long in neutral you have is pretty short 0:16
Sword rain is easiest to avoid by turning the camera away from him otherwise depth perception is a pain. 0:44
When he does sword rain, try and get to a nice big spot and stay on the left hand side of your zone. This gives space to do a roll with his dash attack as mentioned at the start for some easy damage and he very frequently does that.
At range during the sword rain he also often does an attack he doesn't really seem to do at other times (because we're staying up close) where he will raise both weapons diagonally and then do a long spinning combo. Running away from him is enough to dodge this.
His hardest attack to dodge is the double diagonal slash hammer combo. Because this attack has a movement phase where he will pivot (which seems to count as movement time) it's insanely hard to time a dodge if you're circle strafing. If you can get good at recognizing then it's quite simple to run away then back in for a running attack (you can see that a LOT in this video). Otherwise dodge into his right hand side but the timing varies if your positioning is anything other than static. Easily the hardest move to deal with in no hit for me 0:18 (He often does it after that double dagger swipe you see here)

Armor - Death Bed Dress (Highly essential!)
