EASY COMMUNITY PROJECT: Adult Clothing Protectors! From Less than 1 Yard of Fabric!

Hello Shiny Crafty People and WELCOME BACK to the channel!

Today, I'm teaching you how to make adult clothing protectors with less than a yard of fabric.

One of our local non-profits is giving away these clothing protectors in Christmas gift bags they are sharing with residents in nursing facilities and assisted living communities. My mother, Robin Richter, asked if I would teach some of the mask makers that she and I worked with (to create 34,000+ masks in 2020 and 2021) how to make these clothing protectors so they can help spread them in the community as an outreach project.

For this easy project, you'll need:

LESS THAN 1 yard of quilting fabric (44" wide by 30" long)
Matching Thread
1" of each side of sew-on velcro (1" width x 1" length)
Sewing Machine
Scissors
Marker
The Template or a 6.5" half-circle or circle

Here's a link to the template you'll need: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HjKa...

Or, you can make a 6.5" circle (out of cardboard or something else) and place it along the folded edge just 2" below the top.

Also, if you want to create a protector with two different fabrics, you'll need pieces 22" x 30" from each of two fabrics. With a yard of each fabric, you'll have enough for two reversible clothing protectors.

If you do make these for folks in your community, consider joining our Facebook group for Shiny Crafty People and tell us about it! Here's a link to join that group:   / 487725342189414

I hope you enjoy making these clothing protectors for people who need them. Until next time, STAY CRAFTY!
