SSB may be on the weak side, but there is so much of everything else, that you may find yourself happy owning this receiver.

Features I like about the new 909X2!
FM Reception is Excellent.
Fast RDS Capture.
Large Display.
Preset Locking.
AIR Band Reception is Excellent.
Scan Feature for AIR Band.
Improved Speaker Audio.
On Board Antennas are More Sensitive.
Smart Charging of NiMH Batteries.
Auto Band Width Feature.
Signal Strength/Signal to Noise Ratio Displayed in dB.
Three Timers.
External Antenna Jack for the Entire AM Band.
Headphone Experience is pleasant on the Normal Tone Setting.
Included AC Adapter, Shortwave Reel Antenna, Carrying Case, and Headphones.
Three Separate Memory Banks for Different Users/Locations.

Features that could Added or Improved on:
Quality Control on Spurious Tones.
Extend the Volume Control Knob.
Add Band Width Options for SSB.
Improve Volume while on SSB.

Overall, this radio gets a big "Maybe" recommendation from me. If your radio has no Spurious Tones you are in for a treat. FM is Absolutely Amazing. On Board Antennas finally work as they should. If you are mainly interested in SSB listening, then you will want one of the other recommended radios I listed. Stay tuned for follow up videos of the Sangean 909X2!
