Power test - How much power does it use?
I tested the Duraflame electric fireplace and found this is what I calculated for power consumption. Depending on your situation and tools for measuring you may get different results.
Measured power consumption when it is in heat mode:
115.8Volts
1303W
11.26 Amp
60 Hz

Calculations for Cost to run based on what we pay for electricity in our local area. This cost may be different in your area.
I ran it for 4 hours and 16 min Set at a temp of 78 Degrees
It used 5.57 KWH
Per my calculations that would cost us: ( please do your own calculation)
$0.27 Per hour to run
$2.16 Per Day (Heating constantly without going into standby for 8 Hours)
$64.00 Per 30 day period (Heating constantly without going into standby for 8 Hours per day)

What I like: It truly works well to heat the 700sq Ft space we needed heated. Other heaters just did not seem to work as well. We are going to keep it!

What I do not like: The control panel is hidden by the door and you can not control the set temperature from the remote.
