Season 2 Recap | Star Wars Rebels | Disney XD

In Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels, the crew of the Ghost face bigger threats and more dangerous enemies than ever before. Get up to speed with everything you need to know ahead of Season 3.

It all starts on Ezra’s home planet of Lothal where the rebels find themselves caught in the middle of a trap set by Darth Vader. Vader outmatches Ezra and Kanan with his lightsaber and then takes the fight to the rebels in space. Ahsoka senses something familiar about the evil Sith Lord before they make a narrow escape. The crew seeks out Ahsoka’s old friend, Captain Rex, for help. His clone squad gives the rebels some serious backup when the Empire attacks. Rex joins the team, and a new Inquisitor is revealed…but it turns out, there are two deadly Inquisitors!

Ezra, Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb and Chopper are called into action when the Inquisitors begin capturing force-sensitive children. Ahsoka shows up, and teaches the Inquisitors a lesson with her lightsaber—and the rebels are on the run again!

Back on Lothal, Ezra seeks answers about his long lost parents. Senator Organa sends his daughter, Princess Leia, to supply new ships to the rebels. Later, inside the Jedi temple, Ahsoka has a vision of the true identity of Darth Vader. Yoda appears, telling Ezra the answers they seek can be found on the mysterious planet Malachor.

On Malachor, they find an ancient Sith temple. Ezra is separated from his friends and runs into Maul who needs Ezra’s help to steal a powerful and dangerous Sith holocron—an artifact that can only be opened with the dark side of the Force. The crew regroups in time for another Inquisitor ambush to defeat them for good! Maul betrays the group and blinds Kanan, but Kanan uses the Force to defeat the powerful Sith Lord, who narrowly escapes. Just when it seems it couldn’t get any worse, Darth Vader attacks. Ahsoka steps in to face her former master. An epic duel ensues. Ezra and Kanan escape as the temple explodes. Vader is injured and walks away from the ruined temple. Ahsoka’s ultimate fate is unknown.

Back on board the Ghost, Ezra opens the Sith holocron. Will Ezra be tempted to the dark side? Will Maul return to seek revenge? What does the Empire have in store for the rebels next? All will be revealed in Season 3…
