My first time trying the gamemode ascend in Hollow knight, perfect timing considering silksong finally releases this week... I cannot wait enough.

Q: What even is Hollow Knight Ascend?
A: Hollow Knight ascend is a game mode created by a group of people over on the LOCKOUT.LIVE site where there is an overall pool of goals/ challenges. Dependent on grid size, these goals are drafted and distributed randomly to each tile to complete the grid.
As the player, your goal is to complete a goal on the first row to reveal the adjacent goal to it. From there you would need to continuously complete goals until you reach the top of the board in which then you win. This game mode supports multiplayer as well and is intended to be played against another player.


Q:Where can I try this myself?
A: LOCKOUT.LIVE and its beta variant are the sites I have used for this challenge. Created by Youtuber Smallant's Team who created the website and created the goals. Even all of the graphics as well [if you have any involvement in this please send an email to "[email protected]" so I can provide proper credit rather than just the site :), alternatively add mental_vc on discord and dm me please].

Q: Why should I try this?
A: Incredibly fun and unique game mode, not only that it has versions for different games including Elden Ring, Pokemon and Donkey Kong Bannanza. The community and discord is fairly small so growing this would be nice to make more people aware that this exists.
