the Soviets advance towards Germany is on the run, and the capture of Hungary in late Balaton sector is the goal of Operation Balaton.

The strategic position of Hungary forced the Germans to establish and publish many Panzer divisions to make a blockage.

when the battle started, Germans sent counter attacks several times. but the fail of the counter attacks made the German lines too weak for a soviet counter attack.

Result : Soviet and few Bulgarian divisions captured the sector of Balaton and all of Hungary.
