Kammok Swiftlet, Portable Hammock Stand: Initial Setup & Unboxing

Useful for summertime lounging around the house, the beach, or the office…the Kammok Swiftlet provides a yet another way to enjoy a net-less hammock without much added weight.

The Swiftlet converts between chair mode and lounge mode, depending on the bottom bar you install. It can fit a hammock from a Roo Jr to a Row Double XL. The stand weighs 15 pounds on average and is made from aluminum and plastic components.

Requires a separate hammock (preferably a net-less hammock without an attached ridge line), plus two carabiners for mounting to the stand.

Pros:
Not too bad on weight. Packs down to a size you can carry in somewhere on your shoulder (tailgating, the beach, back yard party, etc).
Cons:
Mine had a quality control issue (go figure), but I was able to rectify it with a file. Not sure if this stand would work well with a hammock with an attached ridge line due to the design. Need to make sure all the hammock material fits inside the Y shaped ends to prevent ripping your hammock when weight is applied. With a top length of only 8 feet, longer hammocks will need to be draped over the top a bit.

Overall, it’s okay. It would be good for lounging in during the summer somewhere where trees aren’t readily available.
