Hardwax occupies a unique niche among wood finishes. While most finishes build up a hard, protective coating, hardwax penetrates the wood and protects and beautifies from the inside out. They are a blend of wax, resins and oils that are exceptionally easy to apply, and allow you to handle -- even use! -- your wooden projects before the finish is fully cured. But it’s not all good news; they have their limitations.
