Who is the fastest woman on Earth?

Jessica Combs (1980 – 2019) was an American professional racer, television personality, and metal fabricator. She set a women's land speed class record (four wheels) in 2013 and broke her own record in 2016. She is known as "the fastest woman on four wheels".

With a lifelong desire to become a race car driver, she found a love for speed and its machines at a very young age. In addition to her passion for automotive, Jessi was an artist who spent much of her time creating with her own hands. While Jessie, aka the fastest woman on four wheels, did have to bid goodbye at an early age, she certainly did leave a legacy behind.

As a professional racer, Jessie had taken part in several events and shows. She has won several races, such as Ultra 4 Stampede(2014), Rallye Aicha des Gazelles(2015), and Ultra 4 King of the Hammers(2017). The professional racer appeared in the seventh season of MythBusters while Kari Byron was on maternity leave. She has also hosted several shows, including Powerblock, The List: 1001 Car Things To Do Before You Die, All Girls Garage, and Overhaulin'. She has also appeared in an episode of Jay Leno's Garage as Jay Leno's guest driver.

In 2013, Jessie broke Lee Breedlove’s women's 4-wheel land speed record that stood for more than 45 years. She recorded 398.954 mph (632 km/h) and a top speed of 440.709 mph (709 km/h).

On August 27, 2019, Jessi took her jet-powered-car to the Alvord Desert. In the attempt to break her own record, Jessi faced a crash & passed away at the age of 39. Combs’ two runs in opposite directions across Oregon's Alvord Desert averaged 522.783 mph (841.338 km/h), which broke the existing women's land speed record of 512.71 mph (825.13 km/h), set in 1976 by Kitty O’Neil at the exact location.
