The home buyers' plan can be extremely valuable for you if you are looking into building or buying a home. If you or your spouse/common law partner have not owned a home in the past 4 years, and the money invested in your RRSP has been there for at least 90 days, you will qualify for the home buyers' plan. This allows you to take up to $35,000 out of your RRSP to fund either a home purchase or the building of a home.
